Five Epic Adventures to Choose From

Lock and Key Escape is an unforgettable puzzle-filled adventure.

What is an Escape Room?

Escape Rooms are an immersive puzzling experience where you and a few friends are put into a room with one mission: beat the game before the clock hits zero! To do so, you’ll need to work together to solve a series of different clues, puzzles, and mysteries before the time is up!

How Long Does it Last?

Each of our escape room experiences is designed to be completed in under 60 minutes. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your reservation starts to get checked in, and so that staff can review rules and expectations with your group. Late arrivals may or may not be able to have the entire hour of puzzling, depending on availability.

How Much Does it Cost?

Simple: $36 per person + tax. Kids, adults, grandma, your neighbor’s dog, all the same price. Wait, actually, we were told you can’t bring a dog, but if you could, they would need a ticket. Well, unless they are a service animal, in that case, they are working, not playing.

Will I be paired with strangers?

Nope. All of our rooms are private. It will just be your group in the room.

What About the Kids?

Our rooms are designed to be family friendly, and we do not have any age restrictions to participate, but please keep in mind that the puzzle difficulty has been designed with teens and adults in mind. Some puzzles may be extra challenging for kids 10 and under.

Participants ages 15 or under must be accompanied by an adult.

We require a waiver to be signed for every participant and person present in the room. Any minor-aged participant needs a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

If a child’s parent/guardian isn’t going to be on-site, send them this link ahead of time:  Link to the waiver!

Is it Scary?

Our ‘Cursed Carnival’ Room is designed to be a spooky, PG-13 level scare, with some jump scares but no actors in the room.

All of our other experiences are not designed to be spooky/scary.

Is There a Large Group Discount?

Yes! For parties of 10-19, we offer 10% off the ticket price. For parties of 20 or more, we offer 20% off the ticket price. Please call us to make arrangements.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

Within 12 hours of your reservation, we are unable to refund or re-book you to another date/time.

Within 12-48 hours of your reservation, we will be able to re-book you to another date/time.

With more than 48 hours’ notice, we can refund up to 100% of the money you have paid.

Do I Need to Sign a Waiver?

Yes! All participants will need to sign a waiver for each game/day they play. Waivers can be filled out HERE.

Such a fun place! As an avid escape roomer, this is one of my favorites in the Twin Cities. They have such fun rooms, and the staff is always incredible. The Excalibur room is great for kids, and the Utopia room is one of the more challenging I’ve done. All around a good time

Super fun, Rachel was great checking us in and helping us with the game - three of us including a 10 yr old. It’s always so special when you can tell people genuinely love their job like she does! Thanks!

We played Excalibar, we brought out 6 and 4 year old grandchildren and they had a great time. Games were hard enough, yet we were able to figure them out. the kids really enjoyed the crystals!

Did my first room at Lock and Key and it was so much fun! I’d been eyeing this place for a while and this didn’t disappoint. Kelly was our room runner and they were such a delight! The Quest for Excalibur room was also a great option for a small group, and gave a solid variety of difficulty in puzzles. Also theming was great. Will certainly be back to try the other rooms!

We had an amazing experience at Lock and Key! We tried out the medieval themed room, and we're amazed with the creative and novel puzzles. Kelly, our room runner, was amazing -- asking about our wants and needs for our escape room experience! I always love it when escape rooms ask what our preference is for hints! We will definitely be back!
